JOB SUMMARY:Oversee the administrative duties of the Center.
Responsible for moving the patients through the check-in and
check-out process.PRIMARY FUNCTIONS1. Provide a courteous,
professional working environment2. Maintain effective communication
with patients, co-workers , and supervisor3. Maintain efficient
patient flow4. Update patient demographics5. Interview patients for
sliding fee scale services and update eligibility6. Verify
insurance and set eligibility dates in system7. Call and remind
patients to bring missing information to their appointment8.
Collect payments and patient-responsible balances9. Post charges to
patient accounts10. Scan and import demographic and clinical
documentation into patient charts11. Schedule appointments as
needed12. Monitor patient schedule to accommodate walk-in
patients13. Direct patients to the proper department for
assistance14. Answer multi-line telephone system15. Operate office
equipment, i.e. fax, copier, computer, and credit card machine16.
Provide copies of patient medical records as requested17.
Contribute to the positive image of the front office operations18.
Other responsibilities as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE1. High school diploma or equivalent is
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES1. Customer-friendly attitude2.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes3. Money and balancing skills4.
Knowledge of bank deposits5. Good communication skills6. Ability to
function effectively under stress7. Good evaluative judgment8.
Computer literacy9. Ability to perform accurate data entry10.
Ability to work well with people11. Ability to multi-task
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS1. Bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole) a
RELATIONSHIP REPORTING1. Reports to the Center Manager
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS1. Ability to sit and view a computer screen
for extended periods of time2. Ability to perform repetitive hand
and wrist motions for extended periods of time3. Ability to handle
and/or feel objects, tools, etc.4. Ability to frequently walk,
stand, and reach with hands and arms5. Ability to occasionally
climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl6. Ability to
occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds7. Vision abilities
must include vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to
