Avocet Aviation Services has immediate openings at our disassembly facility in Sanford, Florida for candidates who have some aviation maintenance experience or who have completed an Aviation Maintenance training program. Summary
Disassembles aircraft in such a manner that the parts can be reused on other aircraft by performing the following:
Duties

• Removing parts from aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual and company procedures.
• Performing the work requested on the work order form in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual and the procedures set forth in this manual.
• Notifying their respective Lead of any out of the ordinary damage noted during any phase of the maintenance or disassembly process.
• Correctly documenting all maintenance forms in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Repair Station Manual (RSM) as well as the individual instructions for each form found in the Forms Manual.
• Maintaining their respective tools and work area in a clean, orderly fashion.
• Using the correct data and ensuring that it is maintained in good condition while in their possession.
• Verifying calibration status on all precision tools and test equipment prior to use, and when finding a tool out of calibration, notifying the respective Lead.
• Only performing work in accordance with approved data.
• Accepting ownership for the quality of their work **May be cross-utilized to provide aircraft maintenance at our MRO in Sanford, Florida**
  Requirements
  • Certificate of Completion from an Aviation Maintenance Training Program or work experience with aircraft maintenance
  • A&P Certification preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at professional working proficiency
  • Provide own tools as required by company tool list
  • Understand and follow maintenance manuals and IPCs
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check, security threat assessment, and driving history check resulting in the issuance of an airport badge by the Sanford Airport Authority with driving privileges.
  • Must be able to drive a personal vehicle to the job site - it is not accessible by walking, riding a bike, or by getting a ride with another person.
