Forging Press Operator
About Us

Role purpose
Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with forging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery.
Key responsibilities
Operating Machine or Equipment
Operate complex equipment and machines, adjusting diverse variables to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to simple and recurring inefficiencies.
Operations Management
Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. This will involve adjusting multiple settings or parameters to meet performance standards.
Equipment Changeover
Carry out changeover of one or more equipment under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions.
Equipment Total Productive Maintenance
Carry out TPM checks and activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions.
Quality
Carry out relatively simple testing and quality assurance tasks.
Health, Safety and Environment
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
Operational Compliance
Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.
Internal Communications
Support in using the internal communications system to access specific information on request.

Education
Upper Secondary School
Experience
Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
