Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position requires excellent organizational skills, verbal, and written communication.

This Position is required to work beyond 5pm and weekends.

Florida Driver's License is required for this position



Under the general direction of the OPERATIONS & MGMT CONSULTANT MGR-SES Position #002678, Tobacco Prevention, Florida Healthy Babies, PrEP, and SANE, The position's responsibilities include giving the Program Manager, neighborhood organizations, and the general public professional support and technical help. The individual must use independent judgment, initiative, and have good interpersonal and motivational abilities. They must also interact politely and professionally with both internal (coworkers) and external (clients, vendors, and community members) consumers.

50% Maternal and Child Health (MCH): The primary duties of this role will be to provide health education regarding tobacco use and young children, pregnancy, the health effects of smoking, and passive smoking. Women's health challenges include teen pregnancy, social determinants, healthy sleep, breastfeeding, access to recommend prenatal and well-childcare, and the reduction of infant and mother mortality. With a monthly report to the program manager, the job will carry out work plans deliverables, community meetings, presentations, and outreach efforts within Seminole County. Planning and coordinating all national awareness days, special events, and health fairs will fall under this position.

50% PrEP Program: Plan and coordinate all national awareness days, special events, health fairs. Build and manage community partners meetings. Facilitate scheduled meetings, outreaches, condom sites, mobile unit, tracking clients, referral process of cleint, presentations, trainings, and assist in creating unique communications/media as it relates to the program.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment required for the position:

Knowledge of office procedures and practices.

Knowledge of Health Management System.

Ability to maintain financial records as they relate to purchasing.

Ability to organize and file materials.



Qualifications:

Minimum -

  • At least one year of verifiable experience in public speaking for providing professional presentations
  • At least one year of verifiable experience working in diverse populations with infant (0-5), teens (11-17) and college (18-26) and families
  • Verifiable experience working with or facilitating a community partnership
  • Florida Department of Health is required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs shelter or performing other emergency duties including but not limited to, response to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster man-made or natural.
