This position requires that you are very responsible and a self-starter with great communication skills. These attributes are key to success with Staley, especially our Technicians in the field who have to work with managers and coworkers to coordinate work schedules, tools and materials. Although the location of your home residence is not critical to the role, the positions will require that you travel. While out of town trips are often shorter in duration, our company moves very quickly and you must be ready to dispatch as quickly. Our customer base requires that we are very flexible, so typical work shifts could include days, nights, weekends and some holidays. ResponsibilitiesElectrician Key Responsibilities Experience in commercial and retail environmentsSkilled in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and componentsLocating and diagnosing issues in the electrical system or equipmentWorking standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipmentManage time, material and people resources throughout project lifecyclesManage work orders, sign-offs, daily log/journal and other project documentationData Technician Key Responsibilities Design and install fiber and copper cable in retail/commercial settingsTerminate copper and fiber optic cablingIdentify circuits and connect to network equipmentConfigure network addressesTest cable and ensure accuracy of cable testing, documentation and storageTest, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with cable faultsTerminate and dress communications closets according to BICSI standardsPerform cabling and PBX/phone Moves, Adds or Changes (MAC)Perform troubleshooting of network hardware and implement appropriate solutionsManage time, material and people resources throughout project lifecyclesManage work orders, sign-offs, daily log/journal and other project documentationQualificationsElectrician QualificationsElectrical license preferredKnowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to the electrical tradeKnowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards and regulations4 years of electrical experience preferred Data Technician QualificationsMust have aptitude for computer technology and working with your handsDesired qualifications include three years industry experienceBISCI or other industry certifications strongly preferredQualifications for Electricians and Data TechniciansPC proficiency, Microsoft office applicationsAbility to travel, often extensively and sometimes with little noticeFlexibility to work the hours of the traditional second and third shiftsMust demonstrate the highest standards of ethics and integrityStrong client/people relationship skillsMust have relatively clean and valid driver's licenseMeet company standards for pre-employment background check and drug screeningTypical physical demands include frequent work on lifts, ladders, and possibly rooftops and other harder-to-access areasMust be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with employees and/or clients; manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing and lifting of objects (typically up to 50 lbs.), and operating power toolsMust have industry standard hand toolsSafety Sensitive PositionIn compliance with state and federal guidelines, Staley's has identified safety sensitive positions to include, but are not limited to Service Technicians (POS Technicians, Electricians, Data Technicians, and other service technicians), and other positions.
