The RN Plus Case Management Program provides the experienced RN with a comprehensive blended program for HCA Healthcare. The experienced RN with current Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Critical Care or ED Nursing experience, will receive the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to transition into the Acute Care Case Management role immediately following the program.

Part 1:  Didactic Training – First 5 weeks (Centralized training location):

  • Interactive classroom discussions
  • Case studies
  • Clinical documentation training with experienced instructors
  • The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, with 40 hour work weeks (8 hour days)
  • Some travel to the centralized training location in Orlando will be required (anticipated to be weeks 1, 3 & 5)

Part 2:  Clinical Preceptorship – Next 7 Weeks (at hospital):  

  • Conducted at the hospital
  • You will be assigned a one-on-one preceptor to train you and acclimate you to your role
  • Regular development meetings between the resident, their preceptor and their Director
  • Customized Coaching/Onboarding report for Case Management Preceptorship    
  • The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, with 40 hour work weeks (8 hour days), with weekend rotation

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care, Critical Care or ED required.
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multi-state license required
  • Program acceptance requires a two (2) year, full-time commitment to the hospital.  If a nurse chooses to leave the facility before the 2 year commitment is fulfilled, they may be required to meet a monetary responsibility.
  • Attendance is imperative throughout the training program

 

Central Florida Regional Hospital, a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, serves the communities of Seminole and west Volusia counties. The hospital provides the only full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and west Volusia, including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other specialized services include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatient medical rehabilitation, and complete imaging services. Central Florida Regional Hospital is located 3.6 miles east of I-4 between S.R. 46 and Highway 17-92 in Sanford. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care at its main location as well as at Heathrow ER located at 4525 International Parkway in Sanford.
