They promote an open and collaborative environment, training and development opportunities, and offer internal upward advancement.If you are looking to start a career with an established and successful company, please read over the description below!We look forward to reviewing your resume!LASER OPERATORLocation: SanfordSchedule: Full Time, 1st ShiftPay: Negotiable based on experience, starts @ $15 per hourSUMMARY: Efficiently run the laser machine for the sheet metal fabrication process in our Flat department. In this position you will need to set-up and adjust the laser work to ensure high-quality, on-time output with minimal scrap. As a member of the Operator family you may be asked to help cover other similar machines to maximize our capacity as business needs dictate.RESPONSIBILITIES :* Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and other written instructions or procedures.* Responsible for all set-ups and production runs, ensuring safety, accuracy and timeliness of all jobs.* Solid knowledge and demonstrated experience of laser and punch press machines and ability to set-up, adjust and prepare the following:* Amanda or Prima laser* Turret punch/laser combination* Work with Engineering, Programming and Operation to ensure finished products are produced in safest, effective manner, while maintaining high quality control standards.* Understand and ensure proper tooling, nesting and material handling for area.* Take lead in problem resolution to meet customer needs.* Identify & Implement measurable improvements that gain throughput increases within Flat/Form department* Maintain a good working knowledge of all equipment within flat/punch department to be able to assist as necessary.* Assist Maintenance Department with maintaining equipment* Perform housekeeping as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment* Required to have proper and accurate entry in to the M1 data collection system.* Operate forklift as needed* Work productively as a team member with other employees fostering a strong team mentality* Accurately follow OSHA guidelines and maintain compliance for all business obligations.* Adheres to Client'sValues, Core Beliefs, and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Manual.* Regular attendance is a necessary, essential job function and required to meet company productivity standards* Performs other tasks as requiredQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS* High School Diploma or equivalent is required* Trade School Degree or 2+ years' experience operating, setting up, and programming various punch press and laser machines* Understands the use of precision measurement tools, calipers, protractor, tape measure, etc.* Strong computer navigation and utilization skills* High Mechanical and Numerical Reasoning* Must be able to speak, read and write in EnglishNesco Resource and affiliates (Lehigh G.I.T Inc, and Callos Resource, LLC) is an equal employment opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics with respect to employment opportunities.
