Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary: - Provides care for patients requiring CT procedures. - Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying computerized ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. - Operates the CT equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. - Operates equipment setting appropriate technical factors to produce diagnostic quality images according to radiology practice standards, minimize patient dose, and relay images along with pertinent clinical information to the physician for interpretation. - Assists with inventory management and patient scheduling. - Is current in Radiologic (X-ray) positioning and can perform duties of Radiology Tech when assigned. - Participates in the establishment of scan protocols and in execution of specific applications, and responsible for contrast administration. - Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff. - Takes on-call as assigned to provide after-hours coverage. - All employees of will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and National Patient Safety standards.? What qualifications you will need: - (ARRT-R) Radiography - Associate Degree - Basic Cardiac Life Support, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is a 221-bed acute care hospital.
