Description SHIFT: PRNSCHEDULE: PRN/Per DiemCentralFlorida Regional Hospital is now designated as a Level II traumafacility, the first in the area! CentralFlorida Regional Hospital,a 221-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center, serves thecommunities of Seminole and West Volusia counties. The hospital provides theonly full-service cardiovascular program in Seminole and West Volusia,including open heart surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology,cardiac rehabilitation and comprehensive diagnostic services. Other specializedservices include orthopedic and spine care, robotic surgery, acute inpatientmedical rehabilitation and complete imaging services . Central Florida RegionalHospital is located 3.6 miles east of I-4 between S.R. 46 and Highway 17-92 inSanford. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency care at its main location as wellas at Heathrow ER located at 4525 International Parkway in Sanford. For moreinformation, please visit www.CentralFloridaRegional.com.POSITION SUMMARY: Asan integral member of the surgical team, the RNFA's primary responsibilitiesand functions include the following: Preparation of the operating sitefor surgical cases,--Assures proper preparation and identification ofsurgical instrumentation and appropriate utilization of equipment,instrumentation and procedures within scope of practice.Our Surgery Department features 6 suites, 2 Endorooms, 13-bed SDS unit, and a 10-bed PACU. Our services include but are notlimited to cardiovascular, general, vascular, GYN, ortho, neuro, thoracic,urology procedures.Requirements:* Graduate of an accredited by CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) and the State of FL Surgical Assistant Program; OR Medical School Graduate; OR Allied Health professional having completed 2250 hours surgical rotation. * Current CFA having completed 350 cases. Two years of experience within the last four years required. * Current Florida State Registered Nurse license . If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. * Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required. * Current Certification as First Assistant (CFA) * Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills AnEEO/AA Employer M/F/V/D.
