Branch Manager

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Branch Manager with management experience in the Building Materials and Lumber industries. To join our well-established Lumberyard operations where we distribute lumber, timber, wood composites, pilings and building materials for both residential and commercial projects alike. Responsibilities for the Branch Manager:

• Oversee day-to-day operations in and around the Lumberyard, coordinate with yard workers and personnel as necessary.
• Create and maintain a positive and safe work environment for all employees
• Implement and maintain company policies and procedures to uphold quality standards
• Work with sales team to ensure smooth production flow and customer satisfaction
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively in the office and the yard
• Monitor scheduling of daily assignments and OT hours
• Responsible for inventory accountability and repurchasing of low or out-of-stock products
• Advise General Manager on equipment recommendations for additions or replacements and help develop replacement schedules
• Troubleshooting and dealing with problems involving several variables around the yard
• Read and do takeoffs of complex material, blueprints, quotes and specs
  
  Requirements of the Branch Manager:
  
  • Minimum 3-5+ years of Management experience in a Lumberyard or related fields
  • Proficient in Building Materials, Lumber, Pilings, and other wood products
  • Degree in Operations Management, Business or related fields preferred
  • Solid grasp of computer systems and applications like Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.
  • Bilingual English/Spanishpreferred
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
