Job Description:
SUMMARY: - Responsible for overall direction and management of
project management team and projects including preparing job
estimates and planning and managing resultant projects to
successful completion. -DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide leadership, coaching,
mentoring and motivation for Project Management team.Manage all
day-to-day activities of Project Management team.Participate,
provide and propose changes to established practices and policies
to ensure continued improvement. - Evaluating and determining what
projects/work the company can pursue, including considerations for:
delivery requirements, company's capabilities, project
specification/requirements (including applicable standards and
regulatory requirements) and project profitability.Developing or
overseeing others develop project estimates and bid documents for
work determined suitable to pursue.Managing or overseeing others
manage projects from initiation to completion, including:
evaluating all project timelines, their resources and their scope
of work, assuring high level of communication with production and
project scope changes.Conducts and leads production meetings
between Project Managers and Production Staff.Understand and coach
others in interdependencies between Project Management and
Production. Work creatively and analytically when problem-solving
with Project Managers and production while demonstrating teamwork
and innovation.Understand and coach others in knowledge of
solutions to problems that will address the project
scope/requirements/goals while maintaining best industry and
company practices.Participate in vendor selection/approval process
ensuring adherence to company, quality and customer goals.Manage
the ISO 9001 Quality Management System pertaining to Order
Processing and participate in quality issue resolution. Ensure all
projects are proceeding according to scope of work, schedule and
quality standards.Monitor Project Management team's performance and
complete performance reviews annually or as needed.Follow direction
and lead of company's strategic direction and executive management
team. -QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- eight to ten (10) years' experience as a Project Manager and or
-working in a Metal Fabrication Environment -
- Preference given to a candidate with enterprise resource
planning software experience
- Preference given to a candidate with ISO 9001 experience
- Acute attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective Communication Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal
instructions.
