JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Quality provides leadership and technical expertise to oversee True Health's Continuous Quality Improvement Program. This position also oversees the internal Care Coordination Department, Case Managers, and Chart Auditor. The Director of Quality will lead efforts to improve quality outcomes in all facets of the organization. This position will also provide education to medical and clinical staff to enhance their clinical quality outcomes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for the annual review and update of the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and all associated policies/procedures
  • Chairs the Continuous Quality Improvement Committee Meetings to be held on a periodic basis, but not less than quarterly
  • Coordinates and establishes timetables for departmental quality initiatives and updates the respective department leads
  • Keeps Executive Leadership informed of the quality status of True Health at all times and produces regular progress reports
  • Proves regular training to providers and staff related to improving quality of care and capturing performance measures
  • Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference workshops on Quality Improvement standards, as needed
  • Monitors and objectively assesses the performance of direct reports: Care Coordination Manager, Case Managers and Clinical Chart Auditor
  • Performs and reports on quality studies throughout the year as per accreditation standards
  • Communicates regularly with insurance companies to discuss quality outcomes, patient care gaps, and organizational ratings
  • Facilitates regular program meetings to facilitate effective communication and maintains highly functioning teams
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and support initiatives related to accreditation and regulatory bodies (HRSA, AAAHC, etc.)
  • Communicates effectively both orally and written formats, formally and informally with agency staff, patients, vendors and the public
  • Facilitates relationships with community partners and attends community events as needed
  • Co-chairs Community Day events
  • Consults with staff to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and understanding of changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
  • Assists in developing grants, leading quality-related grant projects and provides progress reports as needed
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the electronic medical record and data capturing
  • Adhere to purchasing policies and planning procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring the departmental budget.
  • Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Master's Prepared Registered Nurse with current State of Florida license in good standing
  • Must have at least three to five years of experience in quality improvement related activities in healthcare is required
  • Three to five years direct supervisory experience in a similar setting required
  • Knowledge of Athena One electronic medical record is a plus

  • Ability to travel to all Centers within Orange and Seminole counties ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      • Ability to stand, walk or view computer screen for extended periods of time
      • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel
      • Ability to reach with hands or arms
      • Ability to perform repetitive hand or wrist motions for extended periods of time
      • Ability to effectively talk and listen to patients and co-workers
