Job Description:
The HR Manager is responsible for employment policies and
procedures, overseeing payroll and rewards and recognition programs
as well as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along with
administering employee-benefit programs, the HR Manager role
involves finding, screening, recruiting new job applicants, and
developing training and development programs for all
employees.ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are
not limited to the following:
- Managing the staffing process, including coordinating, and
supporting the recruitment process (interviewing, hiring, and
onboarding)
- Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all
local, state, and federal regulations
- Resolving conflicts through positive and professional
mediation
- Handling workplace investigations, disciplinary and termination
procedures
- Creating a compensation strategy for all employees based on
market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date,
determining suitable salaries and remuneration
- Providing the necessary support systems for payroll
requirements
- Supporting employee opportunities for professional
development
- Developing and coordinating the performance management and
improving systems
- Ensuring the organization's compliance with local, state, and
federal regulations
- Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety
compliance.
- Training, counseling, and coaching our staff.
- Supporting the development of an employee-oriented company
culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key
employee retention and development, and high performance.
- Carrying out necessary administrative duties.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration,
or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience is
preferred.
- Three+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is highly desired.
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation,
organizational planning, recruitment, organization development,
employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee
development.
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building and employee
coaching skills.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources
Information Systems
- Ability to practice and coach organization managers in the
practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation
programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement
programs and processes.
