The ideal candidate will have mid-level experience and a track record of success in technical writing in support of engineering teams and competitive proposals. This position will report to the Director, Systems Engineering and is an incredible opportunity to help shape the outcome of a major commercial space capability and grow professional engineering skills and experience in a great company.Key Duties And Responsibilities* Contribute to the success of a multidisciplinary team who devise remote sensing satellite missions and capabilities responsive to customer needs* Possess the ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers, scientists, and leadership to capture key strategic and tactical concepts, specifications, and use cases to create technical documentation for technical programs, marketing, and proposals * Develop documents, presentations, and other materials that maintain consistency in Corporate messaging and strategy using proper tone and voice * Employ version control and change management best practices * Utilize systems engineering knowledge to create technical documentation that supports technical proposals to both government and commercial customers* Develop new technical content that captures system requirements, specifications, and operating procedures* Incorporate changes into baseline products and other artifacts* Ensure all assigned technical writing tasks are completed, delivered on schedule, are within Corporate compliance, and have correct style, grammar, and spelling* Generate, or source appropriately, any illustrations, line art, or graphics required* Perform adjudication and quality control on any content or comments developed by other team membersRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS * Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science and 5 years technical experience in technical writing* Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing and sustaining technical products through all phases of evolution as collaborative tasks across multi-functional teams* Effective research skills analyzing technical data and commercial manual sources and coordinating findings with system engineering in support of technical writing tasks* Demonstrated understanding of standard form, style guides, and content required in accordance with external customer requirements in engineering documentation, including illustrations of schematics, workflows, and schedules* Impeccable attention to detail and sense of urgency * Ability to self-govern with minimum supervision, establish workload priorities, and to utilize efficient time management practices to achieve assigned tasks * Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment * To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 22 CFR * 120.15 or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.Additional Differentiators* Master's degree in a relevant technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science* Experience developing technical documentation in accordance with military standards* Technical Writer experience supporting Business Development and competitive proposal activities related to geospatial or remote sensing lines of business* Working knowledge of Shipley Proposal Processes* Familiarity with systems engineering and requirements management tools* Experience developing systems specifications, manufacturing requirements, calibration procedures, or test plans as per industry standards* Experience creating system operating instructions, interface control documents, and user manuals* U.S. government issued security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret/SCI levels* Ability to translate complex technical topics in a clear and compelling fashion * Desire to learn new skills as required and develop expertise in areas that may be unfamiliar* Willingness to travel up to 20%BenefitsBENEFITS * 401(K) * Employee Stock Program * Generous PTO with floating holidays and flexible vacation policy * Company-paid comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage * Access to Gradifi Refi tuition refinancing assistance * Cross-training and professional development opportunities ABOUT PredaSARFounded in 2019 in Boca Raton, Florida with additional offices in Northern Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia.
