Job Description:

As a Personal Injury Examiner at GEICO, you will be pivotal in handling personal injury claims resulting from automobile accidents. Focused on delivering exceptional customer service, you will assess claims, interact with claimants and medical professionals, and determine claim resolutions in alignment with GEICO's standards for accuracy and expediency. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of making judgment calls in complex, emotionally charged situations. Evaluate and investigate personal injury claims arising from auto accidents. Interact with claimants, witnesses, and medical professionals to gather pertinent claim information. Review medical reports and records to authenticate injury claims and associated costs. Determine coverage and liability by analyzing claim info and policy documentation. Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys in a fair and efficient manner. Document and update claim files within the company’s claims handling system. Collaborate with other examiners, adjusters, and teams to resolve complex claim issues. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Effective communication and negotiation skills Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively Experience in interpreting medical records and legal documents Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Claims Adjusting (such as AIC or SCLA) preferred but not required.
