HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT PRN to join our renowned medical team. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, the Respiratory Therapist engages directly in the treatment and care of patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Leveraging advanced medical equipment and protocols, the therapist administers respiratory therapy and observes its effectiveness, collaborates with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment plans, and provides critical respiratory care support. This role requires immediate responsiveness to emergency situations and adherence to the highest standards of patient care. Assess patient health needs and implement appropriate respiratory care plans. Administer and manage ventilator support and other breathing apparatus. Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and spirometry. Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff to modify patient treatment plans as needed. Educate patients and their families on lung health and maintenance techniques. Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide lifesaving interventions. Advanced knowledge of respiratory care practices and procedures. Ability to operate and manage respiratory equipment, such as ventilators and oxygen supplies. Proficient in conducting and interpreting pulmonary function tests. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team. Capacity to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
